Yadgar-e-Fatah is entering a new chapter as the landmark welcomes visitors from 3rd October 2026, bringing a new visual dimension to one of Islamabad’s most prominent monuments.
At the centre of this experience is 3DiLLUMINATION, bringing its projection mapping and visual production expertise to the landmark and transforming its architecture into a canvas for light, visuals and storytelling.
Yadgar-e-Fatah Comes Alive After Dark
After sunset, its architecture becomes the canvas for a large-scale visual presentation created by 3DiLLUMINATION.
The monument’s distinctive arches and architectural details become part of the visual story, with animation, light and imagery working together to create a completely different way of experiencing the space.
For the team at 3DiLLUMINATION, the project is another opportunity to take projection mapping beyond conventional screens and into monumental public spaces.
3DiLLUMINATION at Yadgar-e-Fatah
The project was developed specifically around the scale and architecture of Yadgar-e-Fatah.
Rather than placing visuals on a conventional screen, 3DiLLUMINATION transformed the monument itself into the screen.
Its structure, arches and architectural details become part of the presentation, allowing the physical landmark and digital visuals to work together as one composition.
The experience was first presented during Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day celebrations on 14 August 2026, as part of the visual celebrations surrounding Marka-e-Haq.
What began as a major Independence Day presentation has now become part of the wider public experience at Yadgar-e-Fatah.
From Monument to Visual Canvas
Projection mapping creates an opportunity to experience architecture differently.
Instead of simply illuminating a building, visuals can interact with its existing form.
Architectural details can become part of the story, while movement and imagery can change the way the structure is perceived.
At Yadgar-e-Fatah, this approach allows the monument to take on a different visual identity after dark.
The architecture remains the same.
The way it is experienced changes.
A Landmark Project for 3DiLLUMINATION
For 3DiLLUMINATION, Yadgar-e-Fatah adds another significant project to a portfolio built around projection mapping and visual production.
The team works across architectural projection, projection mapping, immersive visuals, events and large-scale visual installations, creating visual experiences around different spaces, structures and stories.
Yadgar-e-Fatah brings these capabilities together on one of Islamabad’s most prominent landmarks.
It also demonstrates how projection mapping can create a new layer of visual identity for an existing space without changing the architecture itself.
The Monument Becomes the Screen
The idea behind the project is simple:
What happens when the monument itself becomes the screen?
At Yadgar-e-Fatah, the answer comes through light, movement, visuals and storytelling across the architecture.
The arches and structure are no longer simply part of the background. They become part of the visual presentation itself.
This is what makes projection mapping different from a conventional screen-based display, the physical space becomes part of the story.
More Than a Projection
For the team at 3DiLLUMINATION, projects like Yadgar-e-Fatah are about bringing together creativity, visual production and the possibilities of projection technology.
A landmark can become a canvas.
A structure can become part of a narrative.
And a familiar space can be experienced in an entirely different way after dark.
Yadgar-e-Fatah is now ready to be experienced from this new perspective, where architecture meets visual storytelling.
